Welcome to The Music Biz Oracle!

Webster's Dictionary defines an 'oracle' as one who give wise advice.  Wise advice, now that is a mouthful!  From the time we are born until the day we die, people are always trying to give us advice.  Good advice, bad advice, any advice, everyone always has something to say about what it is we do.  Am I any different?  Actually, I hope so.  The advice I intend to give to one and all is not so much as advice as it is an explanation and an understanding for those people who aspire to be in the field of entertainment, specifically the music business.  You may chose to accept it, challenge it, or even ignore it but ultimately it will be your choice.  As Morpheus said in the movie 'The Matrix' : "I'm trying to free your mind, Neo. But I can only show you the door. You're the one that has to walk through it. ... This is your last chance.   After this, there is no turning back.  You take the blue pill - the story ends, you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe.  You take the red pill - you stay in Wonderland and I show you how deep the rabbit-hole goes."

I am trying to give people the chance to understand the business they have chosen to become a part of, the music business.  Please understand this if nothing else, THIS IS A BUSINESS!  There are people who can sing, play an instrument, compose music, etc. as a hobby.  There are those who live and die by his or her craft.  Which one are you?

This blog is for those whose desire is to become a part of this glorious world of music.  To be known for the unique creative property they create by themselves or with others.  They want to be taken seriously as one who has something to contribute that will make people feel the experience they have to offer.  It may be in the form of a performer, songwriter, producer, engineer, etc.  It may be in the form of finding those people who have this special talent.  Whichever road you chose understand this.  This road is rocky.  It is not the easiest or the fastest road to be on.  Some have been blessed enough to be in the right place at the right time.  All, have to be prepared to put his or her talent on the line when they are called to do so.  There are usually no second chances.
